The Friends have a common concern for the Library's active participationin
the community and have strong convictions that good library service is
an essential part of everyone's intellectual enrichment.
The Friends create public support and assistance for expanding library
programs and encourage gifts, endowments and memorials to the Library.
Working to promote library services, the Friends organize public events,
raise money and sponsor a variety of library activities such as: Morning
Book Discussion, Shakespeare Readers, a strong Genealogy Society, and
French, Spanish, and Italian Conversation Groups. Other programs feature
speakers on local and national events
Through their efforts, they have helped build and support our Library
since 1932. Their contributions have enriched library services. Their
most popular fundraiser each year is the eagerly awaited Twice
Sold Tales used book sale.
New members are always welcome. Minimum contribution is $10.00 a year.
